Camping at the Rincon Parkway

While this doesn't have anything to do with full timing, it is worth noting, as people come here from out of the county, as well as out of state.
The Rincon Parkway is a stretch of road that runs along the coast in Ventura, CA. There are 127 sites, end to end, facing west. There are no hookups, water or other facilities,  so no tents allowed.
It can be a challenge to find an open site, particularly if you wait until Thursday or Friday, especially in the summer months. (We got here around 1100 on a Wednesday, and all but a few spots were open)

The beach is a short climb down from most sites, although there are a few along a seawall that have no direct access.
The best part of camping at the Rincon?  The spectacular sunsets!    Then, time in front of a campfire (man made rock fire pits at all but the "seawall" sites - bring a portable one) listening to the sound of the surf.
